Art Competition

Hi! A few months ago, my school had an art competition and the theme was Identity. I decided to do a collage. It actually turned out okay, even though I wasn't quite sure what I was doing in the early stages. Later on, when I find the pictures, I will show you what it lookes like. I didn't win the competition, my friend did and hers really was amazing! She had painted it on a medium sized canvas with really colourful paints. The word 'Identity' was painted in black in the middle. She had painted all her interests around the edge. I am really happy that she won, the prize was £30 of art equipment.

Sam the cat

Hello! Here is a picture of my cat, Sam. He is a rescue cat and the best cat ever! I have drawn him a few times and painted him once but I will share them another time. Sorry I haven't posted very often but I have been quite busy. Thanks for reading.

Hello! Welcome to my new blog 'Arty Cats'! I have had a blog before, which was all about my cat Sam but seeing as he does nothing much apart from sleeping and eating, I deleted it. I have decided to start this new one which isn't just about cats, its about art too. I draw, paint and take photos, because I enjoy doing it. You don't have to be an amazing artist to have fun with art.                                                           

I took this picture quite a while ago with a normal digital camera but I wanted to put it on here as a example of what things I like to take pictures of. I take all my photos with a digital camera.
